Manufacturer provides 77 New MEGA buses to company from the capital of the state
Plataforma Transportes from Salvador, Bahia, purchased 77 units of the NEOBUS New Mega city bus. The new vehicles are the first New Mega of the brand acquired by the operator and are being incorporated into the company's fleet for operations in the urban transport system of the capital city.
"This purchase gives continuity to the partnership between Neobus and the Evangelista Group (GEVAN) that already uses Neobus bus bodies in other companies of the group. It is also the largest volume sale of the New MEGA bus model in Brazil, which is very important for NEOBUS", highlights João Paulo Ledur, director of NEOBUS. “This opens new possibilities for further expanding our presence in the state,” he comments.
The 77 New MEGA buses supplied feature a 13.345mm long Mercedes-Benz OF-1724 chassis that can carry 73 passengers (40 seated and 33 standing), City type seats and space for two wheelchairs. The vehicles are the first units of the Platafoma company equipped with air conditioning system and internal camera monitoring system with four cameras to ensure more safety for public transport users.
Combining comfort and great performance, the New Mega buses stand out for their extreme robustness. Spacious, economical and aesthetically attractive, the vehicle was designed to meet the needs of transport operators across the country.
