MICROBUS NEOBUS THUNDER WAY FOR THE MSD SOCIAL PROGRAM

Vehicles were also designed to travel on difficult routes

The first 54 units of the NEOBUS Thunder Way micro-bus with a Volkswagen 8,160 ODR chassis, are part of a batch of 500 vehicles delivered to the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) in a ceremony held in Brasilia on November 6.

The vehicles are destined to a MSD program with the purpose of fulfilling social actions throughout the country, benefiting users and members of the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS), especially for people and families in situations of vulnerability. The micro-buses have been developed with the necessary characteristics to overcome difficult, especially rural routes. Through the program, the MSD facilitates the acquisition of robust vehicles with low operational costs to the municipalities of the whole of Brazil as well as the Federal District.

The buses were equipped with high suspension, mixed-use tires, front axle with forged beam, shorter front axle balance, lock on the rear differential and larger angles of attack and output. In terms of comfort they have the capacity to carry 25 passengers in upholstered and easily cleaned seats, anti-smash mechanism on the door and Mobile Seat Device, which facilitates the access of people with reduced mobility.

With robust and resistant structures, wider width - 2,220mm - and unique design, the Thunder Way combines practicality and agility in the transportation of people with safety and low maintenance costs. The model has 7,350mm total length and 3,035mm height.
